Congrats, Delegates! You have successfully completed the first two days of our 2023 Youth in Government session! Here’s a quick recap of today.

This morning we held our second General Assembly of the 2023 Colorado Youth in Government session. We began the meeting with the reciting of the pledge and prayer. We then welcomed our guest speaker for this morning, Treasurer Dave Young. He was able to give us an inside look at what it is like to manage our state budget each year and informed us of the fact that there is important cooperation taking place between our legislators, for the good of the Colorado people.

Next, we had something very exciting happen! Around 10:00, reporters from Channel 7 and 9 News arrived and interviewed your very own Governor Ellyott Siffring, Lieutenant Governor Qynton Salyer, Justice Dathan Montera, Representative Maelin Rennemeyer, and director Marlana Krulish. They were able to share with these reporters what incredible opportunities Youth in Government offers to its attendees, it will be an incredible story! Make sure to tell your parents to tune into Channel 7 News as early as 5:00 for the interview with your officers and Channel 9 News as early as 6:00 for the interview with Marlana Krulish and Maelin Rennemeyer.
